Aidan's first airplane ride, he did awesome! He never cried and was very curious, looking all around at the loud noises coming from different parts of the plane.
When Scott picked us up at the airport Aidan was smiling, talking, and laughing at him pretty quickly. Our car was extremely dirty, bird poop dirty. I asked Scott what happened to the car, he said "You'll see when we get on base."
Now I didn't take any pictures of what I'm about to describe to you but I'm sure your imagination can handle it. If you've ever seen the movie "Birds" you can easily imagine this. It's dusk out as we drive onto base and there are hundreds of big black birds flying around and sitting in trees and on electrical wires. The sound of them chirping was so loud it would make it difficult to have a conversation without repeating yourself. Scott's parking space next to his building isn't even near a tree. The parking lot across the street has about 4 parking spaces worth full of birds packed wing to wing. And as we get out of the car Scott warns me that if a flock flys over us to just "cover your head!" Lucklily we didn't have any encounters with the birds but every day at dusk they gather, all over the city of Wichita Falls onto anything flat they can sit on. They take up every square inch of space on signs you see on the side of the road when driving on the freeway.
Here are some pics of Aidan and Scott getting reaquainted
We took Aidan to the pet store to check out some animals. He liked watching the fish and the birds the most, turtles and lizards don't move fast enough for a 3 month old :)
We introduced Aidan to bubbles
We even did some hiking/walking at a local park, the suspension bridge was cool.
My personal favorite of the weekend. "Boyz in da hood"
Our time together came to an end but we'll see Scott in early April, and Scott will be thrilled to leave boring old Wichita Falls, TX.
THE LIVING ROOM
-I finished the living room a couple weeks ago, painted it all by my little ol' self! Just thought I'd show off my completed project.
