Trip to Texas

Aidan and I had a great time visiting Scott in Texas, yes, he's still in Texas. We didn't go any where exciting or do anything spectacular, we just spent the time we had together, which was just fine with us because we all missed each other.

Aidan's first airplane ride, he did awesome! He never cried and was very curious, looking all around at the loud noises coming from different parts of the plane.

When Scott picked us up at the airport Aidan was smiling, talking, and laughing at him pretty quickly. Our car was extremely dirty, bird poop dirty. I asked Scott what happened to the car, he said "You'll see when we get on base."

Now I didn't take any pictures of what I'm about to describe to you but I'm sure your imagination can handle it. If you've ever seen the movie "Birds" you can easily imagine this. It's dusk out as we drive onto base and there are hundreds of big black birds flying around and sitting in trees and on electrical wires. The sound of them chirping was so loud it would make it difficult to have a conversation without repeating yourself. Scott's parking space next to his building isn't even near a tree. The parking lot across the street has about 4 parking spaces worth full of birds packed wing to wing. And as we get out of the car Scott warns me that if a flock flys over us to just "cover your head!" Lucklily we didn't have any encounters with the birds but every day at dusk they gather, all over the city of Wichita Falls onto anything flat they can sit on. They take up every square inch of space on signs you see on the side of the road when driving on the freeway.

Here are some pics of Aidan and Scott getting reaquainted

We took Aidan to the pet store to check out some animals. He liked watching the fish and the birds the most, turtles and lizards don't move fast enough for a 3 month old :)

We introduced Aidan to bubbles

We even did some hiking/walking at a local park, the suspension bridge was cool.

My personal favorite of the weekend. "Boyz in da hood"

Our time together came to an end but we'll see Scott in early April, and Scott will be thrilled to leave boring old Wichita Falls, TX.

THE LIVING ROOM
-I finished the living room a couple weeks ago, painted it all by my little ol' self! Just thought I'd show off my completed project.

8K walk

Here are some of the pictures I took on my 8K walk this past weekend with some of my friends in Destin. I'm still sore because I carried Aidan and all of his 12lbs of baby fat in the baby bjorn the WHOLE way! I may as well have been wearing one of those plastic suits where you sweat all your weight off because I was so warm with him sleeping on me in the 60 degree weather. I hope to do the 5k runs on some weekends with my friends soon but I need to invest in a jogging stroller, running with a baby carrier on is not possible if I want my back to stay healthy, time to browse ebay and craigslist!

All the bobbing around from the speed walking put Aidan right to sleep.

For the Grandparents.....his first Ash Wednesday.

My "adventures" -By Aidan

Ok, It's my turn now, mom likes to look on this computer thing everyday so I wanted to try it out and see what's so addicting about it. I'll start off with some of my latest news... I've discovered that I like to support myself on these legs of mine but I get tired after a while, it's tough holding up 12 lbs of baby fat.

I watched this thing called the Superbowl, it looked pretty cool, I even got to touch a football. My neighbors Chad and Jason thought it would be fun if I was the football but Mommy wouldn't let them throw me in the air.

Two fistin' it on game day, daddy would be proud. These hands that I got are pretty good for keeping me occupied if I can't find my pacifier

Mommy and I went on this loooooooooooooooong walk one morning, she said she needed exercise, I fell asleep, it made me tired.

Daddy calls a lot, I hear him sometimes but I never see him, I think he's hiding in the phone.

Finally, I'd like to show you a picture of my good friend, he shows up sometimes in the funniest places, I talk to him sometimes, and once in a while I see mommy with him too. He's a pretty fun kid, good lookin' too.

Well see you later, mommy tells me we're going to fly in this big airplane to go see daddy in a couple weeks, I can't wait, I miss him a lot! -AIDAN
