Where did the rest of winter go?

I don't mind that winter has passed but I can't believe it's spring break here already, the traffic sucks and there are tourists everywhere! We've been so busy that I'm going to bed early on a Saturday night, a definite sign I'm not getting enough rest!

The bathroom is pretty much finished, and is awaiting it's first guests!

I've been tempted to move right into this bathroom, I love how it turned out!

Scott's been gone for the past 4 weeks at the AFB in Montgomery, AL for Squadron Officer School. It's only a 3 hour drive so Aidan and I have been up to see him one weekend and he came back home for a weekend too. He'll be up there one more week then he'll be done. We spent time digging in the sand at the beach with Aidan while he was back home but when we went to see Scott it rained the whole weekend so we found a mall to wander around in and Aidan had fun riding the carousel.

Aidan has been helping himself to a lot of things lately, being almost 17 months now he thinks he's the king of the castle. He's learned how to feed himself with utensils, spoons and sporks are awesome for one year olds!

He loves copying me and has really been enjoying his book collection. I was sitting on the couch reading a magazine when he wanted to get up in the chiar to read his book :)

He's also been climbing, on and off the couch, trying to climb onto the chairs, the bed, and he can climb into and out of his toy box!

Lately he's learned how to tell Bailey to "sit." I've been letting him give her treats and I make sure the dog is sitting before he does it, so once in a while he points at her and and tells her to sit, but she knows that he's not the boss....yet :)

Speaking of Bailey, funny thing happened today. I took her to the groomers and the lady there convinced me that she would look great if they shaved her, especially with summer coming. Her coat has gotten very thick and heavy but it's her signature look. I thought, what the heck, it'll grow back anyway! So I told her she could shave her and now Bailey looks like a puppy and not quite what I thought she was going to look like, I miss her furry coat. By the way, I'm never letting anyone shave her hair this short again!
