Spring has sprung

Spring is here and we've been spending even more time outside. Scott will be home in 2 1/2 weeks and Aidan will be 5 months next week.

Aidan's # 1 fan, Maddy. She loves him and asks to hold him every time I go over to her house.

Aidan loves it when I read to him, he enjoys a good book even more when he gets a chance to "eat" it.

My mom and dad came down for a visit. They were an immense help in getting our yard cleaned up. I can't do much with the yard on my own since Aidan is so little and it needed a good old spring cleaning. I was so happy to see them and my brother Kevin and not just because I got some work out of them, I miss them so much and we had a great time. Scott and I decided we're going to come up for a visit to Wisconsin in August for my mom's big 50th birthday party.

We went to the beach three times while they were here, it was Kevin's first time in the ocean, dad was just waiting for him to mention how salty the water was :)

Aidan wanted to try out boogie boarding

It's officially swimsuit season here, time to get tanning!

My mom and dad wore him out but he had fun and now he's wondering where his grandma and grandpa went, and he wants to know where that funny guy Uncle Kevin is that he was laughing at all week :)

Scott's Wichita Falls Adventures

Hey All, I just wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on my time here in Texas. Less than 5 weeks to go and I'm getting psyched. Only a couple more tests are all that remains until I'm officially a fully qualified maintenance officer.

Situations have come up that have tested me in several ways (other than academic) and I've done my best to handle them appropriately. I have to give a shout out to my former coworkers that I've talked to while I've been here to get guidance/perspective on things.

The bulk of my experiences here have been positive though, I wanted to throw up a few pictures of a couple fun things I've done. This is how I've spent my Texas vacation:

Habitat for Humanity - Reclaiming stuff from old base housing that will be sold at second hand auctions with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. I took out a few door frames and a few toilets...

...This was the whole crew.

Sitting at stream in a canyon at the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma.

Climbing up the canyon wall.

Doing some spelunking.

Yeah, we're thinking about how much we love Wichita Falls...

In good Company

Aidan and I had a couple visitors over the past two weeks. My friend Melissa from Ohio and my sister Rachel both came down to Florida and we spent alot of time outside as it is getting warmer out! Aidan has become a beach baby bum and loves to sport the bucket hat while outside. He turned 4 months yesterday and can't wait to try the rice cereal I bought him. Six more weeks until Scott comes home!! Enjoy the pics below!

Aidan told me she wanted to sneak him into her suitcase and fly back with her to Ohio :)

Mommy buried my feet in the sand
